Stranger At The Door
Stranger at the Door was made during the first COVID 19 lockdown in the UK. When universities closed in March 2020, I could not return home immediately because my father was undergoing chemotherapy and was considered clinically vulnerable. With no testing available at the time, I spent fourteen days isolating at my grandparents’ house to ensure I was not carrying the virus.
Even there, distance remained necessary. Because my grandparents were also high risk, I largely stayed separated within the house. It had been ten years since I had last slept there as a child, yet I returned under entirely different circumstances.
