Stranger At The Door
As this country entered lockdown on 23 March 2020, I was unable to return home from university straight away, as my dad’s treatment for cancer placed him in the ‘at risk of severe illness’ category. For his protection, I self-isolated for 14 days with my grandparents. It was 10 years since I had slept in this house, as a small child. I eventually returned to my familiar home environment, but the circumstances were far from normal.
